Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to clarify the relationship between learning environment concerning health promotion and the continuity of activity among health promotion volunteers (HPVs) from the viewpoint of community health nursing. In this study, the authors were adopted the self-rated questionnaire which consisted of 29 items to grasp the conditions of learning environment concerning health promotion. Then this questionnaire mailed to 404 public health nurses (PHNs), who encouraged the local talent contributed community health, in one prefecture in Japan. As a result, all returned quetionnaires were valid for anayses (59.7%). The structure of learning environment extracted from the quantification method of the third type was shown on two-dimensional space. The continuity of activity among HPVs was strongly associated with 'group work' in learning methods, 'living environment' and 'cooperation for health services' in learning contents. It was important for PHNs that they offer the community's inhabitants appropriate learning environment, advance the organization of health-related activity, and cooperate with the inhabitants for health promotion.
